Just a quick post to say I"M STILL ALIVE!! lol... I know I have been awfully quiet on the blog front lately since I left Mo's as a DT member. While my chronic illness has been "problematic" I've been dealing with it quite ok and if that was the only thing going on then I think I would have been back to my cards and painting and drawing already, but lately have been dealing with some family stuff and being a mum of a special needs teen is a whole lot harder right at this moment then it has been in quite a while, and I just haven't had the physical, mental or emotional capacity to do anything "extra" at the moment other then get up... get through a day... go to bed... and do it all over again. So all of my card making and art had been put on hold.
That being said, we are getting some wonderful supports being put in place and I have been reminded of the value and importance of keeping ME happy and healthy too...and so in these last few days I have started cleaning my house, one room at a time, all I can mange with my illness and even that, only on a good day... and I can actually say that I have cleaned up my craft stuff and have felt a tinkering of motivation!!!... so with my son going on some respite tommorrow, I'll see what the day brings...
Baby steps.
To all those still crafting!!
Happy crafting!!
and to those like me who are unable for the time being...
Take some time to enjoy relax and do SOMETHING you enjoy... no matter even if its 5 minutes.. just something!!!
XO
Oh my you have been missed! But you are definitely worth waiting for.!! I'm in the same boat - it's a glorious day if I can get out of bed - so I understand. One minute at a time and treasure anything you can get done. Hang in there - hugs and blessings
ReplyDeleteOh Elaine, Thank you for such a sweet comment!! It's so nice to know that the effort you put into making cards and a blog is appreciated...
ReplyDeleteHowever I'm so sorry to hear you too are unwell... being chronically ill is such a hard life, so much harder then many people realise, but there are many of us out there, and we are definitely not alone in our struggles, and I thank the person who invented the Internet each and every day.. because they/he/she allows me to keep in touch with the world, despite being ill.. Gentle Hugs to you my dear!!
