Fall/Autumn Challenge over at Mo's!!

This fortnight at Mo's Challenge Blog we are celebrating the Fall Season!! and well I must say this is all a little odd for me in Oz doing Challenges for Fall or as we call it here Autumn, as we are of course in opposite seasons then you all being on the opposite side of the world, and so we have had the first week of SPRING here, with the Winter weather finally shifting the the sun coming out of hiding...

but I guess lucky for me, I happen to LOVE Autumn, and everything AUTUMN, the colours, the weather, the wind, the leaves, the clothes... THE COLOURS!! lol.. and so I'm quite happy celebrating this theme with you all, even if it's so weird and odd for me. :) teehee

I must say, I was so happy making this, I started a totally different card, COMPLETE FAIL!!, then this idea came and the card just MADE ITSELF. I just love cards like that. :) I have used two new dies I have bought by Elizabeth Craft Design, created by a talented lady called Karen Burniston, which I'm rather excited about, and I'm sure you will be too.
So onto the card!!
Oh this card just gives me HAPPY SMILES. :) This card design is made from the Karan Burniston, Elizabeth Craft Design "Circle Accordion Card" die which you can buy in Australia HERE with the coordinating border die which you can buy in Australia HERE!!.  So the great thing about this accordion card, is that the circles swing around so that the image on the front and back of the card becomes the images in the middle. :) a great interesting feature to the card!
I think this beautiful digital image by Mo Manning called "Valerie in Autumn", one of two digi's in this set is just perfect for this card design, as she appears to DANCE under the die cut trees. You can buy this gorgeous digi set HERE at Mo's Digital Pencil.
Whats great about these Elizabeth Craft Design "All Season Tree" die, is that the tree's come with a number of coordinating dies in snow flakes, flowers large cloud shape and small cloud shape to simulate a full tree shape and these gorgeous singular leaves, so that you can make a tree to suit any season. :) You can buy this lovely die in Australia  HERE!!
Valerie has been colour with Copics on XpressIt Blending card. The edges have been sponged with a mix of different distressed inks. A list of Copics will be given at the end.
I LOVE this quote, which I just found on the Internet, but i really find it to be so true. I love Autumn for the colours. The browns, reds, yellows, oranges, greens.. These are my FAVORITE colours.. maybe cause they are the ones that go best with my red hair!!

Thought I'd give you a close up of my TREES!! seeing I spent so long putting these little leaves on there. :) a hint!! The leaves die is three different leaves. I had a strip of paper that I folded and was able to cut 6 leaves each time!! but the best bit, cause I'm all about using all my scraps, if you space the die well, you can use the strip you cut the leaves from as a border strip on a different project later on, with the negatives the dies have cut out!!.
The background papers were my first go at using digital papers, and although they printed quite muted on my inkjet and resulted in me buying a laser printer a week later, I'm ever so happy with the lack of waste from using digitals, as I cropped the digitals onto an A4 so I only had what I really required. :) Crafting smart!!
A close up of my second "pruned" tree. Well I couldn't see all of my sentiment!!! LOL. These are two more papers out of the digital set that I bought. :)
A view of the back!, when the circle "swings" around. :)

To My Most Beautiful Dad On Fathers Day!!!

Here In OZ (Australia) we celebrate Father Day today, and so I'd like to dedicate this post to the most Beautiful, Bestest, Funniest Daddy In The WHOLE WIDE WORLD!!! My Daddy!!!!
Werner!!!
PRIVATE PHOTO'S REMOVED DUE TO IDENTITY THEFT

His cheeky, humorous, childlike nature... this man is NEVER going to stop mucking around, and is definitely who taught me that life's to short to be serious!

So to my gorgeous dad.. I LOVE YOU HEAPS!!! and wish you the BESTEST FATHERS DAY IN THE WHOLE WORLD!!!....

Now onto the card.. cause OF COURSE I made my Daddy a card.. Seeing this is my first year of card making, because I only started card marking and stamping/papercraft in February, this will be his first ever handmade card from me... well, since I was a kid.. and I hope he appreciates how much better I am at them since then!! Teehee!!

The image used is by Mo Manning and is produced as a rubber stamp by Penny Black and is called "To Daddy" and is available for purchase as a rubber HERE!! or as a digital from Mo directly, my preferred choice of purchased now!! you can get her HERE!! I have had the this stamp stashed away since February. It was in the bunch as one of the VERY FIRST STAMPS I EVER BOUGHT!! So very special LOL.. and was the start of my MO ADDICTION!! a very serious disease I tell you.. Thank goodness I found a cure...by Guesting for her as a Design Team Member!! LOL..
The heart were all done using heart punches of different sizes, then distressed around the edges with Tea rose distressed ink and a sponge finger dauber. I then elevated them off the page using foam squares and doubling them up to get more height.
The inside was kept very simple, with a basic "I Love You" background, but coordinated with the front by using the same hearts and matting paper... Please excuse the purple square, wanted to keep my message to my Daddy private!! :)
and finally... It wouldn't be a homemade card without a error somewhere.. Mine just happened to be a BIG ONE!! um yep.. I wrote.. "Happy Father Dad"!!! instead of "Happy Fathers Day" and in my exhaustion, I didn't see it, at all... My son actually picked it up the next day when he read the card. LOL... look I could have fussed and stressed and changed it, and if it was for a commission card, and someone elses or for sale or COURSE... but this is for my GOOFY DAD!! he'll get a kick out of my stuff up. :) he always say "If it's TOO perfect, people won't know it's handmade"... well... I think they'll be able to tell with this stuff up. :/

Anyhoo.. That my card for for Father day!! I hope you like it. I know my dad will.
